Stayman after Interference |   |
| Q | Partner opened 1 NoTrump and I intended to start Stayman but the opponent put in a bid of 2H first. |
| A | There are two ways to treat this common situation and you and partner should agree which to adopt. 1) You cuebid 3H for Stayman, and any other bid is natural. 2) You forget about Stayman and all bids are natural. |

Splinter Bids |   |
| Q | What are Splinter Bids? |
| A | A splinter is a gadget bid and is a jump one higher than a jumpshift. Suppose partner opens 1S. A bid of 3H by you would be a jumpshift, so 4H is a splinter showing you have Spade support and a singleton or void in Hearts. This is usually very important information to relay in trying to reach slam. |
