|   More than 30,000 new plant and animal species have been introduced to
North America since the time of Columbus. Although some like wheat and cattle are benign, 5,000 are not.
It's estimated that nonindigenous species rack up more than $123 billion in damages yearly by pushing out native plants, choking waterways, destroying grain stocks, killing trees and attacking crops. |
While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is really all about. |   Fish may have developed jaws not to become better predators, but maybe just to breathe better. | Two fishing boats leave the dock together, one upstream and one downstream. A buoy falls off the upstream boat and floats away. An hour later the two boats reverse course. Will the buoy be picked up before the two ships meet? Solution | |||||||||||

Solution to Buoy this is Tricky.
This is a problem of relativity. From the buoy's
point of view it remains stationary as the two ships
move away from it at equal speeds. Then they return
at equal speed while the buoy stays still. Thus the
two ships will reach the buoy simultaneously.
